I hope I stuck to the brief here.
This little case started out in paper mache brown. I first painted it in blue then distressed it using two different blue distress inks. The paper on the front is from a Tim Holtz range. The letters were cut from kraft card then inked with the blue distress inks before being coated with glossy accents. The pocket came from a pair of my grandaughters jeans and it actually functions.

Sewn cards
I wanted to combine my love of sewing with cardmaking. I found these fab stamps from clear art stamps and combining them with some Tim Holtz papers have made my first sewn patchwork cards. I hope more will follow soon.
I deliberately chose this picture because it shows the dimension and cracked clear embossing on the tag better. The greeting I have chosen for inside is 'a family is a patchwork of love' from creative expressions making it an ideal Mothers day card. I Also used aged mahogany distress ink on the cardstock and vintage ribbon plus some sari silk which co ordinated beatifully.
