Decorated mirrors

These mirrors both came from that famous Swedish shop.  With a little gold embossing powder paint and gems plus a couple of Sizzix dies they can be transformed into something unique.  The one above was originally pine coloured but I gave it a light sanding and then colour washed it with watered white acrylic before
decorating in colours to match some bedding.  Embellishments were cut from thick card and stuck down with Ranger Glossy Accents.

I apologise for the slightly blurry images, I don't think my camera knew what to make of the mirrors.

Calendar

I made this simple monochrome 2010 calendar for my mum as a way of sharing some of the many pictures we have of her geat grandchildren.   I used the My Craft Studio Art Nouvea CD, some printed calendar sheets, some cuttlebug embossed strips, mirror board, black card and a few embellishments.   I was able to use the Bind it All that hubby bought for me last Christmas :)

Hi All

I'm a 50 something granny, housewife and avid crafter. I've created this space to share some of my creations. My biggest inspirations are Tim Holtz, Sheena Douglas and Barbara Gray.

I've just added the finishing touches to a picture for a friends birthday. I used the Creative Expressions fruit stamps plus a swirl from the sweet pea stamp, adirondack inks in pesto and lettuce, plus a few other ranger inks and cosmic shimmers for the bling. I made a 'brass' plate using ultra thick embossing powder.
